Sometimes the simplest wedding days are the most meaningful. Olivia & Dustin’s wedding was a beautiful example of how laid-back, heartfelt celebrations can be just as moving—and just as memorable—as the biggest ballroom affairs. Set in Deltona, FL, with portraits at the lush Gemini Springs in nearby DeBary, their wedding was full of quiet moments, good food, and the kind of community support that only happens when a village comes together to celebrate love.
A private moment to start off a sweet day
We kicked off the day at Audubon Park in Deltona, where Dustin waited on a little wooden bridge tucked into the trees. Olivia met him there for a sweet first look—no frills, no crowd, just the two of them soaking in that pre-wedding magic. They both immediately commented on how good the other looked (we agreed), and then we wandered deeper into the park for some bridal party photos before it was time to head to the church.
The ceremony took place at Olivia & Dustin’s church in Deltona with about 30–40 minutes of heartfelt vows, prayers, and celebration. From there, everyone headed straight to the reception—no cocktail hour, no extra fluff, just family-style potluck tables brimming with home-cooked dishes.
It was the most Baptist wedding reception you could imagine—in the best possible way. Every guest brought a dish, and there was so much warmth and joy packed into that church hall, it was impossible not to smile the entire time. It truly spoke to the meaning of true community in a way that’s impossible to replicate in grandiose, extravagant weddings.
After hugs, a little food, and a lot of love, Olivia & Dustin made their grand exit through a tunnel of bubbles and cheers. Waiting for them at the curb? A white Mercedes, gifted for the day by a church member who offered it as their getaway car. (Community = everything.)
Gemini Springs wedding portraits
To finish out the evening, we headed over to Gemini Springs Park in DeBary for their bridal portraits. This park is such an underrated gem for Central Florida wedding photography—especially if you’re into a soft, romantic look with natural backdrops.
Located just 15 minutes from Deltona, Gemini Springs Park offers 210 acres of spring-fed lakes, tree-lined walking paths, and open grassy fields—perfect for wedding portraits or even a small outdoor ceremony. With tall oaks, wooden bridges, and water views, it's a beautiful (and free!) option for couples who want natural scenery without the need for a traditional venue rental. Just note: you’ll need to check with Volusia County Parks if you’re planning anything formal beyond photos.
