We’re Michael & Amy, the founders of the Author Made wedding photography & videography studio. 10 years ago, we were planning our own affordable wedding.
We found ourselves in the same position as many of our clients: wanting to save money for our new life together while also beautifully preserving the most important memories of our special day.
Author Made is the intersection of storytelling (Author) and artistry (Made). Every love story needs an author, and our team is dedicated to helping you tell yours—while setting up your financial ever-after to be as happy as possible.

Angelika Krug Shannon
Angelika has been in the wedding industry as a photographer and videographer since 2014 and is passionate about telling love stories. With her background in dance and entertainment, she enjoys being creative and making sure couples feel natural in front of the camera. When she is not photographing life moments, Angelika is spending time with her family, grabbing sushi with friends or watching a juicy documentary.

Austin Taft
Austin has been creating video since 2018 and brings a thoughtful, story-driven approach to every wedding day. A film school graduate, he’s passionate about finding the story as it unfolds and capturing candid moments rather than posing subjects. Outside of weddings, Austin enjoys creative writing, reading adventure novels (especially Percy Jackson) and working on projects with various organizations and film sets.
VIDEOGRAPHER
Kelly Jazwa
Kelly has been in the event industry since 2018 and brings a calm, organized presence to every wedding day. With a background in ballet, musical theater, and stage management, she’s passionate about dynamic storytelling and beautiful details while making the day feel effortless for her couples. When she’s not photographing, Kelly enjoys volunteering, attending Bible studies, thrifting, working out, watching movies, and spending time with her two cats and dog alongside her college sweetheart, whom she married in 2019.

Maddie Zahn
Maddie has been capturing images for over a decade with six years professional experience. She’s drawn to authentic moments, emotional depth, and meaningful details, creating images that feel alive and invite you to truly feel the day. Outside of photography, Maddie is a worship leader and musician who loves creating cozy, welcoming spaces where people can connect and create together.

Michael Longshore
Michael is a husband, a father of two little ones, and has been filming stories for seven years. Filming weddings is a significant passion for him, and he considers it an incredible honor to preserve moments in time that can be cherished as heirlooms for generations to come. When he’s not filming, Michael loves spending time with his family, often riding the monorail or Skyliner at Disney or having a kitchen dance party to the latest Blippi jam.

Rob Shannon
Rob has been shooting video for around 10 years in various industries, including experience in the entertainment industry doing live production. He loves making our couples feel comfortable and enjoys the privilege of being one of the people who is a part of their special day. Rob loves soccer, hiking, music, movies/documentaries, and traveling.

MEET YOUR MATCH
Once you’ve booked your wedding with us, we’ll carefully match you with one of our photography and/or videography team members. You are also welcome to request a specific team member prior to booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your preference.
You’ll communicate directly with Michael for any questions, onboarding, administrative/billing, scheduling and meetings; and once your team photographer has been matched, they will be thoroughly briefed on everything they need to know about your wedding before they show up on your big day.

Each of our Author Made team members are carefully and personally trained to capture your wedding day in our signature aesthetic. All photo and video editing is personally managed by Michael & Amy to ensure your wedding day memories look and feel true to our style, no matter who’s behind the lens.

01 / WHAT KIND OF WEDDINGS DO YOU CAPTURE IN ORLANDO?
We photograph full wedding days and micro weddings throughout Orlando and Central Florida, including Winter Park, Winter Garden, Lake Nona, Apopka, Lake Mary, and surrounding areas. Whether you're planning a large outdoor celebration or a chic downtown elopement, we bring the same intentional, documentary-style approach to every wedding.
02 / HOW ARE FULL WEDDING PACKAGES DIFFERENT FROM YOUR MICRO WEDDING PACKAGES?
Full wedding packages are designed for longer, more comprehensive coverage, typically including getting ready, ceremony, and reception moments. While our micro wedding packages focus on shorter timelines, full-day coverage allows us to capture your entire story from start to finish without feeling rushed.
03 / DO YOU TRAVEL TO VENUES OUTSIDE ORLANDO?
While we’re focused on Orlando and Central Florida, we also travel to nearby areas like Daytona Beach, Tampa, Ocala, and beyond. If your venue is within about an hour of Orlando, it’s typically included—just reach out and we’ll confirm the details.
04 / CAN WE CUSTOMIZE A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGE?
Yes! Our Orlando wedding packages are designed to be flexible so you can choose the level of coverage and add-ons that make the most sense for your day. Many couples add on extra hours, a full ceremony video, or even request a multi-day wedding!
05 / HOW DOES YOUR TEAM MODEL WORK FOR OUR WEDDING?
After you book with us, you’ll be paired with a team photographer (and videographer, if you add on video) fully trained in the Author Made style. All editing is handled in-house by Michael & Amy so your photos and videos reflect our signature look. Our team model means you can book any of our packages at our lowest possible cost while guaranteeing that your day is captured beautifully and consistently.
06 / DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY FOR FULL WEDDINGS IN ORLANDO?
Yes! Videography can be added to any of our wedding photography packages, allowing you to relive your day through both photo and film. Our approach is documentary and unobtrusive, capturing moments as they naturally unfold.
07 / HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE IN MY FINAL PHOTO GALLERY?
Each of our wedding photography packages promises at least 40 images per hour, which ensures the best moments of your wedding day are remembered. Your gallery is intentionally curated to tell the story of your day and to avoid including unnecessary images just to meet a maxim of “more is more”.
08 / DO YOU DELIVER RAW FILES OR ALL UNEDITED IMAGES?
We don’t provide RAW images or every photo taken. Instead, we carefully select and edit the strongest images to create a gallery that feels cohesive and true to your wedding day and reflects our signature style. RAW files are unfinished, not representative of our work, and can lead to inconsistent edits that don’t align with our commitment to quality. This approach ensures you’re not sorting through hundreds of nearly identical photos and that every image you receive reflects the artistry and style you hired us for.
