A day full of joy and meaning
Grace & Daniel’s wedding at the Lady Lake Seventh-Day Adventist Church was such a moving and joyful celebration! Nestled in the quiet town of Lady Lake—just north of Orlando and not far from Ocala—this church wedding felt like a warm embrace from beginning to end. Every moment was thoughtful, personal, and full of love.
The Lady Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church served as the perfect setting for Grace & Daniel’s special day. Surrounded by greenery and filled with natural light, this church offered a calm, sacred atmosphere for their intimate wedding ceremony. The gardens just outside made for a peaceful first look, and the entire property gave us countless beautiful spots for portraits.
The day began quietly, with anticipation building as Grace and Daniel arrived at the church. Before any guests were seated or music started playing, the two of them shared a first look in the gardens just beside the church building. It was a moment full of nerves and smiles! Daniel’s face said it all when he turned to see Grace, both of them joyful and laughing from the overwhelming emotions of the moment.
We spent some time exploring the church grounds for their bridal portraits before the ceremony began. With the gentle light filtering through the trees and the peaceful atmosphere of the church property, every moment felt timeless.
The wedding ceremony was deeply spiritual and uniquely them. Grace & Daniel pre-recorded their vows and played them during the ceremony—a creative touch that felt both modern and heartfelt. They also included a foot washing, a beautiful act of love and humility reflecting the couple’s dedication to serve one another as Christ serves His followers.
Once they were officially pronounced husband and wife, the celebration continued immediately with a warm and joyful welcome for every single guest. Instead of a traditional receiving line, the couple dismissed guests into the reception hall for a cozy lunch, greeting each one with big hugs and genuine gratitude.
Music, memories, and meaningful moments
As guests settled in, the reception kicked off with one of the sweetest surprises we’ve ever seen: Grace’s father began singing a song he used to sing to her as a little girl, only for Daniel to take over halfway through. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was one of those rare moments that feels like a perfect blend of the past, present, and future.
The speeches that followed—from Grace’s bridesmaids—were just as emotional. Each one took her time to reflect on their friendship and the kind of love Grace and Daniel share, and yes… they all cried!
We loved Grace & Daniel’s Floridian-themed wedding reception. Incorporating touches of citrus and magnolia blooms in the cake and decorations, their reception also paid homage to their backgrounds: their cake was adorned with toppers featuring their initials plus their home states (Grace with Florida, and Daniel with Hawaii).
As lunch wrapped up, the couple made things even more fun with giveaways and raffle tickets—bringing smiles and laughs all around. Later in the day, we snuck out for a few more bridal portraits around the church grounds, taking in the golden afternoon light and the calm after such a full and emotional day.
Grace & Daniel’s wedding was everything a wedding should be: joyful, sacred, filled with intentional moments and deep connection. From the gardens to the music to the laughter in the reception hall, it was a day we’ll never forget.
