A favorite date spot turned wedding venue
We are so excited to share with you highlights from Nikhol and Alex’s intimate day at Leu Gardens! When I first was contacted by this wonderful couple, they shared their vision of an intimate wedding day surrounded by close friends and family with a relaxed reception inside the beautiful botanical grounds of Leu Gardens. It was important to them that their wedding photography and videography coverage should capture and reflect the intimacy of their wedding day.
Leu Gardens is one of our favorite inexpensive outdoor wedding venue locations in Orlando. Perfect for a tropical wedding or a garden wedding, the historic grounds boast nearly 50 acres (!) of stunning greenery within the heart of downtown Orlando. From an outdoor wedding amongst the gardens to dreamy bridal portraits along secluded paths, Leu Gardens is one of Orlando’s best-kept wedding venue secrets. (It even includes an indoor weather contingency reservation, so you don’t have to worry about bad weather ruining your wedding day!).
The Leu Gardens are a meaningful location for Nikhol and Alex. Having visited the open grounds together on many occasions while dating, it was the perfect place for them to begin their forever together. During our planning sessions before the wedding, we decided to capture their bridal session throughout many of the stunning locations around the expansive gardens—many of these spots being ones Nikhol and Alex had visited together early in their relationship.
An intimate wedding captured with emotive photography
When their special day finally arrived, we began by capturing photos of Nikhol as she and her maid of honor were getting ready. You could feel her excitement and joy radiating as her dream of marrying her best friend in one of their favorite places was now coming true!
While the bride prepared to walk down to the ceremony area, Alex was wandering the grounds, eagerly waiting to see Nikhol.
The ceremony was simple yet meaningful, brilliantly led by the Ginger Officiant, who brought so much charm, wit and energy to the ceremony—all while looking straight into a storm cloud that we thought was going to roll in our direction. We were fortunate to avoid that storm cloud and the couple was able to get married as planned!
As we finished up family portraits after the ceremony, the celebration moved to the main reception hall, where the couple had an intimate, relaxed reception. While friends and family were celebrating the happy couple, I was able to sneak the bride and groom outdoors for one last bridal session around the grounds.
